At Southern Sky Farm, our mission is to cultivate healthy, high-quality products while honoring the land and our community.
We are dedicated to regenerative farming practices that benefit the environment, the animals, and future generations.
Through education, innovation, and a commitment to ethical practices, we aim to nourish consumers, inspire a deeper connection to the food we raise and grow, and encourage a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Where Our Story Took Root
Southern Sky Farm was purchased in 2021 in Campbell County, Virginia, as an existing farm that we’ve worked hard to shape into our own. As a first-generation farming family, it is operated by Chase Bryant and his wife Nikki, alongside his parents, Lisa Bryant and Kevin Bryant, and reflects a shared vision of raising quality food and stewarding the land with care.
In 2022, with the help of Chase’s mom and his grandpa, a small herd of American Murray Grey cattle was purchased, marking the beginning of our journey into raising beef cattle. As first-generation farmers, we’ve learned countless lessons along the way, growing through hands-on experience, long days, and a deep commitment to doing things with care and integrity.
A New Chapter On Old Ground
Our farm quickly became more than just cattle. Chase’s mom expanded her passion for beekeeping, carefully raising and tending honey bees. We planted a small garden, started a log-grown shiitake mushroom operation, and continued exploring sustainable ways to produce food.
From Vision To Expansion
In the spring of 2024, Nikki’s long-held dream became reality when we welcomed our first 10 heritage-breed pigs to the farm, adding another meaningful chapter to the Southern Sky story.
Taking The Next Step Forward
To date, Southern Sky Farm proudly raises American Murray Grey beef cattle that provide 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef. We raise heritage breed pigs that produce exceptional pasture raised pork supplemented with a non-GMO, soy-free feed, resulting in flavorful, high-quality meat you can feel good about serving your family.
We harvest pure, raw honey directly from our on-site hives at the farm. Our land also produces log-grown shiitake mushrooms along with seasonal vegetables and fruits. We are currently in the early stages of providing pasture-raised eggs, with plans to expand as we grow.
At Southern Sky Farm, we are committed to regenerative farming practices that restore and strengthen the land for future generations. Through rotational grazing, careful pasture management, and working in harmony with natural systems, we focus on improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, and building resilient ecosystems.
Rather than depleting the land, our goal is to leave it better than we found it by regenerating the soil, supporting wildlife, and stewarding our resources responsibly.
